Max de Laubenfels was a zoologist at Oregon State College. That's it. He's no more
important than that. His only claim to fame is that he wrote a paper shortly before he
died titled 'Dinosaur Extinction: One More Hypothesis'. This insignificant paper is now
famous simply because it was referenced by Luis Alvarez in his much more prominent
paper. Since Max died in 1960 and Luis published his paper in 1980, Max never found
out about the minor glory his worthless paper attained... and how he was plagiarized...
