1. A continuous edge with direction. Straight is a specific type of edge: an edge that has direction.
2. Conceptually parallel to a dimension.
In Science, straight may only be used as an adjective, and adjectives may only be used in the context of
objects. Mathematics is a discipline concerned solely with motion, specifically quantitative aspects of
movement. Mathematics is unconcerned with architecture or qualitative concepts in the least. This summarily
excludes the use of the word straight in Mathematics. Physical interpretations or conclusions such as 'a line
is straight' or 'the side of a cube is straight' belong exclusively to Physics. This qualitative aspect of the
presentation is unrelated to the discipline of Mathematics.
